For the Disney-obsessed

Expensive and childish? Not my cup of tea, but if you're having a whimsical day, try these Minnie Mawi earrings, called Disney Couture Jewelry. The Heart Drop earrings are a cute silver multicolor, and are on sale for $27.95 (see title link). I'm a fan of the oversized crystals, just not the minnie dots on the bottom. But if you're into accessories and can pull off this jewelry, by all means: go for it!

Hardcore bling

If you have expensive tastes and some edgy ones, they don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. Check out this piece from Jules Smith. The skull bracelet looks great in purple or in turquoise, and gives any outfit a requirement for a second look. In the best way possible (see title link). A bit pricey, but very well-made!

Makeup is true art

It's fascinating to read about the world of makeup artists! Francesca Tolot, for example, represented by Cloutier Remix, has done makeup for dozens of celebrities, magazine covers, music videos, and more. But her true first passion? Renaissance Art! She's Italian-born and gets her inspiration for colors and mixing from that medium. I think it's so fascinating (see title link). So celebrities like Demi Lovato (whom she styled) can just worry about how nice their butts are looking in certain dresses!

Demi Lovato as a Cover Girl

Check out Demi Lovato's story on this month's cover of Seventeen (see title link). She'll inspire you to be confident about yourself and to just to be happy!

Jacob Latimore - the next big thing

I'm way too young to be liking this kid when he's only 15, but what a sweetie! Jacob Latimore has all the makings of a mini Usher, and he may just become one. Check out his smooth single "Like 'Em All" (see title link). Great fashion sense, too - check out that eye money t-shirt!

Mint soap!

Sometimes you know you're going to have to pull an all-nighter. I had to on a Friday night for homework! Make sure to take a break and shower if you need to, pick out your clothes for the following morning when you crash and must get ready in five minutes, etc. Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps are a great way to invigorate you. The Classic Liquid & Bar Soaps feature a Peppermint soap which costs $16.99 for 32 oz (see title link). It really does clear your mind and is completely organic. Contains olive oil, hemp, jojoba, and other fair-trade ingredients.

2-for-1 dress!

Get a prom dress AND a semiformal dress in one! This Two in One Transforming Dress from David's Bridal is $259 but can be worn long with those beautiful purples (in the reds and pinks section) with the detachable organza ruffle skirt, which can be taken off for a short pencil cut. It's fully lined and is a gorgeous light purple color (see title link).

Men's Jeans - the perfect gift

Men's jeans can be fun to shop for, too, especially when you have a specific brand, cut, or wash in mind (of course, you have to have the right guy in your mind, too, but that goes without saying). These Wilde Five Pocket Relaxed Straight jeans, created by Hudson, are a find in the line's Straight Leg collection for Men. A hefty price at $194 (see title link), but they master that classic fit without any of that complicated fuss of too much designs or embellishments. They have just the right amount of broken-in-ness to look relaxed but polished. You can go out in them as much as you can wear them to the office. Hudson jeans are known for their comfort, so buy them if you're up for an easy fit.

Snacks are actually good for you

Don't skip meals or your metabolism will actually suffer in the long run since your body will be more used to storing fat. Instead, snack on healthy things every few hours whenever you're hungry. It's okay to actually eat more as long as you're eating the right things. A great thin-crust mini-pizza, with whole wheat, perhaps (see title link)? Love Hawaiian pizzas!

Soffe Sweats

I sleep in Soffe shorts every night during the summer. It was only fitting that I bought some pants for the colder months, so I checked out the Sweats in their bottoms collection for juniors and found these Rugby Pants (see title link). The loungewear is just $19.99 and is really lightweight and great for sleepwear. It even comes with a cute back pocket if you want to wear them to the gym or something. I'm a fan of the Oxford color (shown in the swatch on the website).

Turbans for girls?

I honestly think this is slightly offensive to some faiths for using the word "turban" so loosely, but L. Erickson USA has branded the term for some of their headbands. The Studded Stretch Knot Turban has a great classic feel but is the epitome of luxe hair accessories, at a whopping $98 (see title link). I think it looks great to just put at the top of your head and it adds extra volume, not to mention a new trend in fashion. Made of mostly polyester, with 2% spandex, and 4" dimensions.

The true makeup

Good stuff! L'Oreal Paris' True Match collection carries what I know as the real makeup: Super-Blendable! The new Mahogany shade is great for deep skin, and I love that it matches skin tones pretty precisely. Remember to dot some on each part of your face. Cosmetics should feel light and natural. Available for $10.95 (see title link).

Maybelline New York's "Tattoo" branding scheme

Interesting marketing strategy - Maybelline New York's latest EyeStudio product is called Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner. It really does make your eyes pop, and black liquid liner is foolproof (see title link). MSRP $7.99. It doesn't dry up or skips while drawing the line, with smooth, even strokes. Promises no mess - haven't tried it yet so you guys tell me: What's the word with the excess?
"Master the refined line."

Couture Eyeliner

I had no idea there was makeup only available at Saks, but I'm not surprised. This Dolce & Gabbana Charm Eye Liner Pencil is a great find in their beauty & fragrance department. D&G's makeup has a great reputation, especially products for the eyes. I don't typically wear liner, but this one in Black looks absolutely smoldering. If you rim your eyes and then smudge it with a cotton swab, they'll look even more sexy! Love the charms at the end, too, although that better not be the reason for the high price of $33 (see title link). Great gift (for yourself, obviously).

Meow!

Katy Perry just released a second fragrance called Meow! With the catchphrase "Be the Cat's Meow!" the Eau de Parfum is so feminine and is available at Nordstrom for $45-$60 (see title link). I love their Beauty section, and the stuff they have for women is phenomenal. Lots of vanilla and amber, with that true Katy Perry energy.

Statement necklace for the win

Check out this gorgeous blue bead necklace from Urbanog. Accessories can seriously make an outfit, and this one is only $10 (see title link). It'll look reinvented with something simple!

Native American Inspired sweater

If I saw this piece in a store, I would hate it. But this sweater from Billabong looks amazing on the model (see title link). The Tassel Love Letter Fringe Sweater is on sale for $56 right now (see title link), The white brightens it up layered underneath, and the three-quarter sleeves are perfect for warmth and practicality. So earthy, and yet so understatedly bohemian.

Contest for a social cause

Check out the Weekend Style Challenge, presented by Above the Influence and Seventeen (see title link). You just have to upload a photo of your style to the website and you may be the grand prize winner, who gets a trip to New York, full-day photo shoot, a feature in the magazine, a tour of the offices, and so much more!

Wax it off yourself

My upper lip hair seems to grow back faster by the week. I'm going to try out Sally Hansen's Hair Removal tools, with the Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit for Face in particular (see title link). It's supposed to be easy to use and just a simple press-on wax. The strips can be used on the go, and reportedly give results which last up to 8 weeks. All you do is warm strips, separate the double-sided parts, and press on! Dermatologist/Salon tested.

Baby Soft Lips!

Tinted lip balms are da bomb. I feel pretty taking care of my lips! Maybelline New York has this Baby Lips Lip Balm product that works like a charm. Comes in 6 different flavors, but the Quenched flavor is shown here. Your lips will feel renewed in 4 weeks, with 8-hour hydration every time you apply. It even contains SPF 20 to make your lips feel revived once again. Suppler, too, and better looking just in time for Valentine's Day! Costs just $4 (see title link).

New Chick Flick in time for V-Day

How cute do Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum look in The Vow (see title link)? Inspired by true events, the movie is out next Friday (February 10) and is definitely worth checking out, whether you're single or taken! Because we all know Channing makes our hearts melt with that stare of his...you know, that one.

Rimmel London Lip Gloss

Check out Rimmel London's Moisture Renew Lip Gloss, which has SPF 15 protection to caress your lips, reduce dryness by 65%, and not break your budget, which is most important (see title link). Love all of their products!

Twist on the classic leather jacket

People are trying many variations on the classic bomber jacket, from different cuts to different colors. Have you ever thought of using a different fabric, instead? Emma Watson certainly did, as she wore this Faux Snakeskin Suede Biker Jacket from TopShop to last year's GQ Men of the Year awards (see title link). She looks gorgeous, although that pout may be the worst camera face I've ever seen.
