False eyelashes? Definitely not for everyone

False eyelashes may accentuate certain girls' faces. I am not an advocator of them, since I think Kim Kardashian looks absolutely monstrous wearing falsies. But if you do want to go big and be even more daring than the rest, try getting brightly colored ones! I found these Illamasqua False Eye Lashes in Sephora, and the #011 shade looks like that pictured at left. They cost just $12, and are definitely dramatic without being over-the-top. Your eyes will be brought out and have an impact on the crowd. So out of the box (see title link).

Luxe Perfume

Want to feel like a celebrity but don't have the same cash inflow to make it happen? Hate knockoffs and actually want to own something made by a high-fashion designer? Check out your fragrance section at a local Sephora. I love the fragrance created by Fendi. Their women's fragrance, called Fan di Fendi Eau de Parfum costs anywhere from $56-$92 depending on size (see title link) and smells like the ultimate fantasy. It's got hints of leather, warm jasmine, and general insistence, elegance, and allure. I am addicted already, and it's completely irresistible. Almost haunting, really.
Made for an electric night out, with notes of rose, tangerine, pink peppercorn, and patchouli.

High-end acne solution - why not just eat an apple?

They say that apples contain a powerful antioxidant called quercetin that can prevent blemishes. So why bother buying expensive acne treatments when you can buy the cheaper, real thing at the grocery store when you need to calm redness and inflammation?

If you really want to buy something that will make you feel good that you're actually "doing" something for your acne, try Super by Dr. Nicholas Perricone Acne Solution. The Super Acne Treatment with Green Apple (see title link) costs $50 and is available exclusively at Sephora. It supposedly brightens your skin and prevents future breakouts. It promises to clear up your skin.

Daisy fresh

Daisy Marc Jacobs is one of my all time faves. A great fragrance for women, with some innocence, playfulness, elegance, and enchantment. Contains notes of strawberry, violet leaves, ruby red grapefruit, gardenia, violet petals, jasmine petals, musk, vanilla, and white woods. Costs $60-$75 at Sephora (see title link).

Self-Tanning the healthy way

Love Kate Somerville's line at Sephora. Her Somerville360 Tanning Towelettes (see title link) fit in your pocket or beach bag so you can make touch-ups on the beach. They cost a hefty $48 for a package of 8, but promise no streaking and even application. Only two to four hours needed. No sulfates, phthalates, GMOs, or triclosan.

Feel like a princess

Vera Wang is known for her bridal gowns, but her fragrances are no joke, either. Vera Wang Princess is a great perfume for a magical night, including even dark chocolate, amber, and musk. Also contains ripe pink guava and chiffon vanilla (see title link). Available at Sephora.

Phyto

Phyto PhytoSpecific Extreme Shine Spray is a $26 product at Sephora that is perfect to show off your soft hair with twisted pigtails. The Knotted Tails look is great when you spray dry hair. It's a perfect styling aid for curly, frizzy, and relaxed hair. Lots of luminosity with a great finishing touch (see title link).

Murad

Murad Clarifying Mask is a perfect sulfur mask to help to lessen that inflammation on your face when you get that surprise zit, or even if you've had that zit for ages. My skin looks so clear because of it because it is natural and clay-based. It's designed to bring out your skin's impurities to absorbe pore-clogging dirt and oil. Although it is a bit expensive at $37 at Sephora (see title link), it makes your face feel upscale as well.

Ojon Tunu

Ojon Tunu Elastik Flexible Finishing Hairspray is great to have for a day when you want to try something different out on your hair, especially when that new style is something your scalp is not used to. My strands never stay in place when I have a side part, especially if it's deep. Hairspray makes the surface less slippery for pins as well. This hairspray, in particular, gives fullness to your hair, along with great control with resin and beautiful shine. However, your hair still looks natural when it moves, not like a hard mess. It contains 100% pure wildcrafted Ojon oil, and clinical studies prove it to strengthen, hydrate, and restore health to hair that is dry and damaged instantaneously. It also has a UV-inhibiting antioxidant complex, which protects your hair color by stying inside. The elastic fiber in Tunu and the protein-rich extract gives it bounce. There's no flaking, either. Hair is simple to brush out, no matter what. A 9 oz. bottle is $25 at Sephora (see title link).
