Mascara from the other side of the pond

Some makeup sacrifices quality for price, but good mascaras can be found at drugstores. Rimmel London will make your eyes pop with their Volume Flash Scandaleyes Mascara. This time around, they've used massive PR around their new product and it's everywhere. There's the maxdensity brush to touch every lash, a guarantee of 3x more collagen and keratin than their own Flash the Max (I LOVE that they chose to compare this to their own products, rather than competitors'. Bold move) and the shade 001 Black looks amazing on their spokesmodel, Georgia May Jagger. The mascara really won't stop plumping or sculpting for hours. As they say, why bother for settling for anything less? 

Lashes like a doll?

I was quite surprised to see an ad positioned this way, but Lancome Paris released a new mascara called Hypnose Doll Lashes! The models actually look like dolls in the print ads, but glamorous and different at the same time. Lancome's makeup with a twist - brings out your eyes by using your outer lashes most, giving you that same wide-eye look. Lots of volume, extension, and lift for your lashes. So flirty, thanks to the cone-shaped brush which keeps the liquid clean and smooth. Even your lower lashes don't smudge as much while thickening. Costs $25 (see title link).

Great Lash

Maybelline New York's Great Lash Washable Mascara is turning 40! It's fabulous in Blackest Black. Conditions without clumping and doubles lashes, and swears to be contact-lens safe. Hypoallergenic, too (see title link)!

Emma Watson's gorgeous Lancome look

Emma Watson is gorgeous on the cover of Seventeen magazine wearing Lancome Oscillation Intensity Powermascara in Black (see title link). It's vibrant, intense, and truly high voltage. Great for extension and visual thickness. Costs $34!

Rimmel London's Day 2 Night Mascara from their Glam'Eyes collection is a double win with a volume end (black) and a length end (pink). Only around $10 (see title link). Up to 15x more fuller lashes. No clumps.

British mascara

I know I've written about this one before, but it really is the best mascara in drugstores right now. Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara has two caps, with one for length (75%, in fact), and one for volume (12x). Their model, Zooey Deschanel, makes the 001 Black shade look so dramatic (see title link).

Double-effect mascara

I'll admit that all mascaras claim to thicken and lengthen your lashes, but a great marketing tactic is definitely to separate yourself from the pack.
