Denim vests - an unexpected revival

Aeropostale has a great denim vest featured in its summer ad campaigns. I know they're so '80s-'90s, but the models can definitely pull them off! The Aero outerwear is a hit or miss, but this one is a hit, and now on sale for just $32 (see title link).

Flared jeans are back

You can be a trendsetter by bringing back a has-been! Counter-intuitive, you say? Well, these jeans from Truck Jeans show off anyone's figure, which automatically makes you look hot and gets everyone wondering how you do it. These cost a pricey $69 at LuLus.com, but the denim is so high-quality! The Kiki Flare Jeans are the best item in the Denim Jeans collection on the website, with soft fabric, a retro cut, two back patch pockets, and the truck logo on the back right pocket, you're ready for a great day. There's even a hidden zipper for closure - wide-leg jeans are just awesome. Just watch out for those European sizes, and measure properly!

Basic Denim!

A denim shirt can do wonders for your outfit! Check this Levi's one out, from the brand that knows denim best. Costs $60 but can be worn any way (see title link)!

Shorts time

Isn't it exciting when you realize it's time to bring out those old shorts again? Better yet, time to shop for new ones. This particular pair is from American Eagle Outfitters, and is on sale for $24.95 (see title link)! The High-Waisted Dark Denim Shortie is great for the Women's department, and is perfect for a spring afternoon.

Candy? Candie?

I found a pair of gorgeous booties at Kohl's last week (see title link). They're Candie's shoes and cost $75. I think they would look great with denim!

Mudd

I hear jeggings are the new it item of clothing now. I hate the name, but they do look pretty cool if worn the correct way. I found these Mudd Skinny Jeggings for just $21.99 at Kohl's (on sale from $40). The heavy-tint denim legging has a great dark gray/blue/black wash that gives you an edge AND keeps you slim for a stunning silhouette. They look well-worn, too, so you don't look uptight. The front pockets are faux, even! Low rise is great for the modern teenager, but the strechiness keeps you comfortable.

Short and Simple

For a cool, effortless look this spring, try the American Rag Strapless Denim Tube Shirt Dress, costing just $49 at Macy's (see title link). They advertise sweet, but that's not exactly what I would call it. Still, it could go for a nautical look that's pretty hot. The straight neckline is great, as are the two chest buttoned flat pockets and smocked waistband. It closes by side zipper so it's pretty discreet. Beware of the fact that it's unlined, though!

Blue Dress from Celebrity Pink?

Celebrity Pink came out with this gorgeous Sock Hop Dress in Denim. It costs just $40 (see title link) and features ruffles on both the front AND back bodice, and there's an exposed zipper in black trim on the back as well, adding shape. In my opinion, the denim balances out the girliness of the ruffles.

Torrid!

Torrid is an excellent store for curvier girls who want more options. Torrid is an amazing source of plus-size clothing in all styles, colors, and shapes (see title link)! Their denim is the best part, in my opinion.

Skirt for the Beach!

The Rocawear King Kasuals Skirt is the perfect staple for your summer wardrobe. It has that broken-in look going with the hanging threads at the bottom and a cool 5-pocket embroidery. There are denim patches in the front, too, looking perfectly tasteful. The only catch is, it's $59. If you're going to buy it, make it multipurposeful (see title link). Wear it with leggings, a tank top, or whatever!
