Tommy Girl at Macy's

While I'm not usually into plaid or collared button-down shirts on girls, I have come to realize that what may not look good on me can work well on many other people. So I decided to branch out and share this shirt I spotted at Macy's, created by Tommy Girl. The plaid shirt is a great top, called the Long Sleeve Point Collar Buttoned Plaid Oxford Shirt, and is on sale now for $39.99 (see title link). Great for the preppiest of people, it's machine washable and has cuffed long sleeves. There's two front flapped pockets at the bust as well, and a rounded hem.

Volcom's cream of the crop

Sweaters can be so versatile, and when I found this Volcom Women's Late Night Convertible Sweater, I had to mention it (see title link). On sale now for $41.70. The cropped sweater fashion will definitely be in, I'm guessing, after the crop top fade. It has a great shape as well. You can wear it upside down!

Kotex vs. Tampax

I'm always talking about Kotex and Tampax, and I should probably choose a side. Problem is, I've never even used a tampon, so I can't test whether tampax is truly 30% better with its cleanguard. The Tampax Pearl Regular is a great option!

Lourdes Leon

Lourdes Leon is not just Madonna's daughter. She's also a budding fashion designer with a successful name under Madonna's Material Girl line. Just look at the way she makes style her own! I love her cutoff black fringe top here, in NYC with Kelly Osbourne (see title link).

Batik

Batik patterns! I love this trend, and these bracelets by A.V. Max are no exception. The wooden bangles cost $35 apiece and are covered with cotton fabric (see title link). So many colors to choose from!

Candie's

Candie's Two Tone Simulated Crystal Cameo Multistrand Pendant is a great find in their collection of necklaces & pendants in the Jewelry department at Kohl's. It's so different it's eye-catching, and it looks great on a Wednesday night when you're just relaxing or treating yourself midweek. 16-inch necklace, lobster-claw clasp, and jet & silver tone. U Tampons

Tampons can be stylish. U by Kotex makes some tampons that look cute with all their colors. Come in Regular, Super, and Super Plus absorbencies (see title link).

New Sneakers

Labor Day weekend was the time to shop. I found some great sneakers on sale at the New Balance store. The Women's New Balance 80 is a fixture in their Lifestyle & Retro department, and they're on sale now for just $48, down from $60 (see title link). Suede and nylon upper, reflective detailing for walks in the dark, and solid rubber outsole. They're super lightweight, too! I'd like the colors inverted, but that's all they had online.

Sharpie!

The Sharpie Pen collection's Retractable Fine Point Pen is even cool for artistry! You don't have to carry a cap around, and it dries so quickly! There's a great barrel for comfort and it's water-resistant. Buy it for $4.49 (see title link).
