Dr. Martens for the holidays

Not exactly my style, but these boots are totally badass but manage to find a girly factor hidden inside somewhere. The Womens Dr. Martens Triumph boot at Journeys has a cute floral interior in the Brown version (see title link). With a leather upper and 12-eye ribbon lace up closure, it's perfect to wear once you're too old for Santa. Steep price at $149.99, but put it on the wish list!

Designer threads aren't always on-trend

Rachel Bilson was spotted in these beautiful Paige USA Womens Silverlake Shorts in the Friction wash (see title link) on July 20 of last year. Seems like she'd be a great fashion icon, no? But these $149 shorts are far from the trend these days...in fact, Daisy Dukes are a don't with the theme of being somewhat classy. Opt for longer shorts instead of these teeny-tiny cutoffs. The heavy 12.5 oz. fabric will weigh you down, too.

Designer Jeans

I rarely blog about jeans because I rarely find special pairs worth noting. I have come to realize that if you want jeans that are eye-catching, you better be prepared to pay the price.
Exhibit A: These Womens Skyline 10" Ankle Peg w/Zipper jeans in the Kingston shade are from Paige Denim and retail for $198 on the Paige USA website (see title link). Although it's hard to tell from the small image to the left, they feature ankle zippers, that gorgeous skinny style that shows off any figure, a 14" leg opening, and a 98% cotton material to keep you cozy and comfy in that 11.5 oz. of fabric. No doubt about it, jeans that fit well show. But are they really worth the price?

Cute Boots

It's hard to find a balance between stylish and durable when it comes to winter boots, but Womens Timberland Mount Holly Boot in the Bone shade (pictured) is perfect. The Earthkeepers boot is warm and waterproof, designed with eco-friendly, recycled rubber soles. 42% recycled materials, 60% recycled cotton laces, and recycled fleece lining. They cost $129.99 at Journeys but are well worth it.
