I LOVE this bag from Forever 21...it's so vintage-looking and cute. Plus, it's only $13 (see title link)!. Multicolored: will match any outfit.

Converse One Star for Target

I was at Target on Memorial Day to look for a good wallet. I also noticed that there were Converse clothes on the racks. Converse One Star for Target is a great new line that has affordable, chic clothes. This shirt particularly caught my eye. The Racquets Henley in True White/Green is completely made of cotton, making it cool for summer (literally). The grommets and missy fit just add to the classiness (see title link). Jane Tran Designs

I love this hair clip from Jane Tran Designs. Taylor Swift wears it in Seventeen magazine, where she confesses that she's "perpetually single," adding that it's important to want your boyfriend without NEEDING him. That's some valuable advice (see title link).

Mia

Quite possibly one of the tackiest pairs of shoes I have ever seen. Mia made these pink Tango heels, and I'm still trying to figure out why people would pay $59.99 for them (or even $45 when they were on sale). Plaid and cork heels never work well together, but making it a slingback with a peep toe and putting that ridiculous bow on top is just icing on a disgusting cake (see title link)! You know, the ones that everyone takes a slice of to be polite and throws into the trash when no one's looking at birthday parties?

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

I was just watching this last weekend while flipping through the channels. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is just so uplifting and real. The families who get new homes are so grateful. It truly touches viewers' hearts, a power that is often rare in reality shows.

Flip. Flop!

These are the cutest flip-flops I've seen from Old Navy. The Women's Beaded Thong Sandals are perfect for a glamorous outing at the beach. They have this beautiful beading and the bottoms are textured for extra traction. They're on sale online right now for $10 (see title link)!

Decree Scarf

This scarf from Decree for JCPenney is perfect for the season. It has that pop of color without completely covering you up. Order the Nubby Scarf in the bluish-green shade, though. Pink is too Barbie-like. It's $20 online but I saw it at JCPenney today for only $16.80 (see title link).

Garnier

My hair is an absolute frizz nightmare. I ALWAYS have to wear it in a bun. But when I absolutely want to wear it down, I put some Garnier product in it and it really calms down for a while (see title link). Wouldn't recommend the shampoos or conditioners, but the styling products are top-notch.

Wax?

Sally Hansen's Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit is quick and easy to use. I'm not sure if it really slows down regrowth of hair, but skin does stay smooth for 8 weeks. European formulas are always better (see title link)!

Britney Spears...a lesson learned

How, you ask, does this post possibly relate to teen girls?

Well, this post is really about young marriages. No, I don't mean new marriages. I mean marriages in which one or both partners are just plain YOUNG.

My best friend got married when she was 18; at 19, she's filing for divorce. Not to say that all young marriages work out this way, but it hit me hard and I've been thinking of how easy it is for us to imagine the fairy-tale of our own weddings and believe it is the right time to have them. Chances are, it's not.

Take our old friend Britney, here (see title link). Spears tied the knot at the age of 22 TWICE; first to old pal Jason Alexander and then to Kevin Federline. We all know how both ended, right?
