Natural Waves with Artificial Tools?

The trick to using curling irons is to make each curl different so that it doesn't look too "done." You want it to look like you just woke up with that effortless style, so wrap some strands toward your head and some outward. Use Revlon Perfect Heat 3/4" Curling Iron. It's relatively inexpensive at $15 (see title link).

I'm against these hair heat products in general, but if you really need to use them, you might as well look good, right?

Jack by BB Dakota

I found this pretty peach blouse from Jack by BB Dakota. It's $60, which is pretty expensive, and it is a bit sheer so you have to wear a tank or cami underneath, but you can pair with leggings to make it boho, jeans to make it girly, or whatever. It's a solid shade but has some nice embroidery through cuts. Check it out (see title link).

New Flick

On a Saturday night in I'm always looking for a chick flick to watch. You know, those straight-to-DVD movies that weren't considered quality or marketable enough to be seen in theaters?
I found a dance movie called Center Stage Turn it Up. Apparently, it's a sequel to a movie called Center Stage (has anyone heard of it?). Haven't seen it yet, but I do think it's worth trying over a huge bowl of extra-buttered popcorn and a pint of Ben & Jerry's to eat straight out of the box (see title link).

Teen [magazine]

Check out the newest issue of Teen (the special prom issue with Shenae Grimes on the cover) magazine. It's dedicated to the event and packed with dress ideas, hair and makeup tips, and more (see title link)!

Vans.

I just donated a pair of old pink Vans sneakers that I've had since eighth grade to charity. This inspired me to check out the new Vans models, and I found an awesome OTHER pink shoe by the brand just in time for Valentine's Day.
These are Vans Slip-on Sneakers and they're an awesome solid hot pink with yellow lining. They help you get into the spirit of spring, too. Not too costly, at $40, considering they can match with a lot. Plus, slip-ons are gaining momentum among shoes these days, I've noticed (see title link).

90210

No, that's definitely not my zip code. Although I am quite envious of those who are fortunate enough to live in Beverly Hills, California. Has anyone checked out the new remake of the TV show 90210? I haven't had a chance to, since Gossip Girl has taken my weekly CW time. Anyone care to share how Jennie Garth and Lori Loughlin are on that show? [Tuesdays at 8PM]
Anyway, O.P.I. has created a small new collection of nail colors called 90210 by OPI. There are three shades and although I have not tried it (the product hadn't been released when I last went to Hair Cuttery) I've been hearing a lot of hype about the Pretty & Privileged shade (see title link). A-C-N-E

I don't usually have horrible acne issues, but recently the hardships of homework have kept me up late most nights and, needless to say, my face didn't like it. I had some pretty horrible blemishes and needed something that was quick. After all, nothing's worse than going from near-perfect complexion to acne-world, right? I tried out Neutrogena's Rapid Clear Fight & Fade 2-In-1 Gel (see title link). It promises to begin its work in less than 8 hours and that was definitely true, although I could've appreciated an even quicker reaction! It contains salicylic acid, the main acne-fighting ingredient, so it can fight the oil that builds up in your pores. It's called 2-in-1 because it both fights breakouts AND fades the appearance of post-acne marks.

Bleach Away

I was born with a Unibrow, so this product is EXTREMELY important to me. I lost a lot of confidence when people stared at my eyebrows instead of looking at ME, so I started using different battery-powered tools, etc. to remove it. What worked best for me (brows AND upper lip) is Sally Hansen Extra Strength Creme Hair Bleach for Face & Body. It's fast and doesn't hurt like I've heard wax does. It has aloe vera inside, too, so you don't SMELL like bleach (although personally, I don't mind the smell of that either!). There's an almond smell as well. It really doesn't show once the hair is lightened. It contains Collagen-enriched Pre-Conditioner for extra skin protection (see title link).

Fly...Like a Dove?

None of us want noticeable B.O.
I recently checked out the Dove Clinical Protection Deodarant in Cool Essentials (awesome scent, by the way). It's formula is dermatologically-tested (see title link), and it contains some of Dove's own moisturizers, so your skin can be tricked into feeling like its lotion. No alcohol or AlCl, either. That means less discomfort or irritation. My favorite part? It didn't leave any white marks on my clothing, something I haven't been able to find in the Secret deodarant I usually use. It lasted all day, too (although I wasn't extremely active that day).
