Seventeen magazine chose the 10 best boyfriends in America...and then had their girlfriends write about them.
According to his GF, 20, from the Bronx, Raymond, 21, of New York City "has his flaws,"...apparently that makes him even better.
I don't know about you guys, but if I were him, I wouldn't want to be described in a national magazine that way (see title link)!
Comments on and reviews of typical teen girl products, everyday adolescent issues, and noteworthy stories about young women themselves.

Wispy Crop
I saw this hairstyle in the April 2009 issue of Seventeen magazine...a wispy crop that's totally asymmetrical looks bold and beautiful. The right side has a great relaxed fullness with lots of volume, while the left side that hangs over your face has long, fringe cuts, leaving your locks dangling effortlessly (see title link).
Willits
I found these awesome red Willits sneakers that are vintage...chances are, no one else you know will be wearing the same style! They cost a good $90, though...(see title link).

The Battalion

These twill pants from The Battalion may LOOK red, but they're actually totally green! The bamboo/organic cotton leggings in the Jaclyn style are made using some fleece to keep you snug with the aid of 2% spandex, but the fleece itself is made of bamboo!
The leggings, though pricey, are currently on sale for $120 (see title link)...if you want to dress expensively, you might as well do it in an earth-friendly way!

Yoana Baruschi
Here's a designer I've never heard of. Yoana Baruschi designs really stylish, simple, elegant clothing. The dresses are undoubtedly unique--and couture. This dress, my personal favorite, is the prettiest royal blue color. It's made of silk twill with ecru embroidery, and the belt (see the bow in that picture) is removable! Plus the neckline has a built-in elastic to fit any shoulder size. The hidden straps allow you to wear it off-the-shoulder, so you can wear it for so many purposes! I was thinking of buying it for prom, but it's a whopping $345 (see title link)!

John Mayer
John Mayer brings an eco-friendly team to his concerts to help raise awareness about littering and harmful effects in arenas. That's pretty green, if you ask me (see title link).

M-O-N-E-Y
Avoid money awkwardness with friends: if one (you know, THAT one) friend is constantly borrowing money without paying you back, go out for cheaper; for instance, ice cream instead of a movie, a walk in the park rather than mini golf, etc. Compromise (see title link).

Homeless!?
A shocking story of a teenage girl who was homeless without her schoolmates knowing. Crazy, huh (See title link)? Well, that's real life.

Skechers
Not exactly the most stylish shoe out there, but great for exercise! The Skechers Women's High Energy 2-High Capacity model is a leather sneaker that has a good cushion inside and gives amazing traction for running or jogging. 1.5 inch heel provides good heel support, which is really important for someone like me with a bad left heel. Plus, the different colors allow it to match almost anything (see title link)!
At $58, is it worth it? I've been wearing my Skechers for months now and love them.
Walk at a Mall
The best way to go green and get healthier in a practical way is to walk around a mall when you're running errands (see title link). I do it all the time with my mom. After all, cars cause a lot of pollution in the air, so you might as well go to a place where all your tasks can get done. The walking is good exercise, too.

Health
Pick up this month's issue of Seventeen magazine, and get "hot legs"! Although in my opinion, miniskirts and short shorts look trashier and trashier each year. Nevertheless, Whitney Port's trainer Danny Connolly invented the workout, so it's worth a try, right (see title link)?

Sun In
I have black hair, so I can't exactly use this product, but Sun In basically lightens blonde to brown hair for that beach, sunkissed look. You just spray it into your hair and stand in the sun. The spray has botanical extracts so it doesn't damage your hair, and it reportedly gives it a decent shine as well.
Rainy day? No worries! Just blow-dry and those highlights'll really show (see title link). Try the Original spray.

Art Institutes
Looking for some postsecondary education without that college label? Go to the Art Institutes! There are programs in lots of different creative fields that will help you take a step toward careers you might want (see title link). There are campuses all over the country.

Hair Elastics
It's easy to underestimate the value of a good hair elastic. But when they keep pulling every time you need to redo your ponytail, it gets pretty annoying. I need a really cheap product that is NOT going to hurt. So I went to the drugstore to hunt for some natural-hair-color-shade elastics that wouldn't hurt so much. I found Vidal Sassoon Hair Elastics to be quite effective. For $3, you get 24 elastics, many of which are in shades of natural hair color. You're bound to have some that camouflage into your scalp to make your ponies look a little more elegant (see title link).

Embrace...
Shaving my legs with a razor freaks me out. I usually just go with Veet. But sometimes that doesn't quite do the trick and I'm forced to go through with that painful, irritating process with a razor. Well, Venus Embrace is the best way to go (see title link). It has 5 blades. They even paid attention to the handle (check out the Soft Grip!). It really does minimize the discomfort. Although I'd still use a depilatory if you've got enough time.

DIY!
I'm not an arts-and-crafts person myself, but I saw this idea in Seventeen's April 2009 issue and had to share it with all of you. If you take a normal short sleeve tee of average size that has a cool print or logo, you can turn it into a cute bag! Just cut off the sleeves at the seams, snip off the neck, and sew the bottom shut. Now the straps left from the sleeves become your straps, and voila! A tote! And if you're looking for more DIYs...(see title link).

Sperry Top-Sider
I was at Journeys this afternoon and decided to try these on. The color scheme matches with any pair of jeans and the cute little sailboats are just icing on the cake. These slip-ons are from Sperry Top-Sider and have this cool stitch lacing on the sides and top (see title link). The teal shade for the Bahama model is my personal favorite, but the model comes in a whole bunch. Right now they're selling for $59.99. I didn't buy them, but they're definitely worth checking out (and even MORE fun to try on!)

See Thru Soul
How classy these jeans are! They're a dark wash trouser pair that are High Waisted Wide Leg. 5 Pockets with a four-inch waistband, hidden pockets in the back. They look sophisticated and chic but still feel casual and vintage because of the denim fabric. They're from See Thru Soul and are a little wide but not wide enough to make YOU look wide. On the contrary, they make you look leaner! Their retail price is a pricey $74, but they're on sale right now (see title link).
O'Neill
These O'Neill jeans are really cute...they're $46 and a great salmon color. Bright bottoms are in this season. I've seen Whitney Port wear some peach pants recently. They're a skinny fit (see title link) and a pretty coral!

Celebrity Pink
I love Celebrity Pink jeans. This post is probably redundant but honestly, they fit so WELL! and that pink jean shade is their specialty (see title link).

BP
Nordstrom has this new BP thing going on...great, cute clothes (probably at a high price, but it's fun to window shop!) with new fashions (see title link). The Vigoss brand is awesome.
Mascara Pick
Lots of mascaras claim to be smudge-resistant and promise not to flake, but this one really works. Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara even helps to curl your lashes without those annoying curlers that can pinch or tear when used incorrectly. The shape of the brush and arch do that automatically. I tried it and it was still effective after 24 hours until I took a shower. If that's not enough, I don't know what is!
Oh, and one more thing. I wear contacts. No discomfort there either! This mascara is opthalmologist-tested.
Oh, and one more thing. I wear contacts. No discomfort there either! This mascara is opthalmologist-tested.
The only catch is its price: $14 (see title link). But I can guarantee it will last you for a while.

Prom Time...
When I saw this dress at JCPenney, I thought, "This is the One." The prom dress of my dreams. It's a beaded ball gown from City Triangles. A great strapless pickup. I love the beading at the bodice. There's a shirred bust, too, although that's hard to see in this picture. Polyester keeps you warm on those chilly nights, too. Then I saw the price tag. $149.99. Pretty steep, I think. And I'll keep looking to see if it's on sale, but until then, for all you of girls with a slightly higher budget, this one's a great pick (see title link).

Roxy!
Spring clothing is Roxy's specialty. Their bathing suits are my personal favorite. Completely classic but sophisticated (see title link).

DKNY
Can't go wrong with DKNY Jeans...chic clothes that are great deals during sales and clearances (see title link). The look is sophisticated, but the fabric is comfortable to wear.
THAT'S Embarassing...
