Eating Disorders
If you or a friend need help for an eating disorder, try to talk to him/her. Without pushing them, show them that you're there to support them and help them get help should they choose to take it (see title link). A school counselor can be a valuable resource, or just a trusted parent.

Lists
As Spring really takes off, make a list of things (see title link) to try that you've never attempted before, and really get inspired by it. There's no time like the present to make a fresh start! I got the idea of a dream journal from Seventeen.
Celebrity Pink
I found these really cool Celebrity Pink jeans at Macy's. They're a bright orchid color that pops without hurting your eyes (see title link). They're not hideously shiny and reflective, either, since they're jeans. A whole new look for $49.

Advice?
Here's a hilarious video of Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado giving advice to girls about guys and dating (see title link). Frankie, Jenner's best friend, encourages girls to not hog their boyfriends. Invite the BFF along so he doesn't feel like a third wheel.

Earth-Friendly
With Earth Hour coming up on Saturday, I wanted to shine some light on some environmentally-friendly beauty products. What do cosmetic brushes have to do with the Earth, you ask? Well, the EcoTools 6-Piece Brush Set, available at Walgreens stores (see title link), consists of brushes made with cruelty-free hair. All of its components are recycled materials. The handles are made of bamboo, too, a strong, sustainable plant. The cosmetic brush roll consists purely of natural cotton and hemp. That reusable pouch is too cute. So what if you have to pay $13 for it? EcoTools is affiliated with 1% for the Planet, which means it donates 1% of its proceeds to earth efforts.

Nine West!
One of the most unique pieces I've seen in a long time...These Nine West (see title link) shoes make such a style statement! The price has risen $10 from $79 since I last checked it out, as its now $89. The peep toe model is in for spring and the pleated toe adds a great touch. A whopping 4" heel will ensure that you NEVER feel short. The model is in Pink Multi Fabric (Blitzen model), but it basically matches with everything. Keep the rest of the outfit simple, and you can never go wrong with polka dots!

Respect
Don't do drugs. That's basically what this post is about.

Shopping = Money
I know I post lots of products here, and that the focus of my blog is usually on items that cost money to buy, but seriously, don't be a designer queen where every piece of your wardrobe has to be designer-made and splurge-worthy. That product cost the same to produce as the ten-dollar equivalent at Wal-Mart. Why waste your money? If you absolutely HAVE to, get one expensive item and go to Kohl's for the rest (see title link).

New York Film Academy
Want to get started in the film business? Try a program from New York Film Academy, which has multiple locations (some summer only) all over the country. Check it out (see title link)!
Always.
Mmm...Burgers!
Cheeseburgers are great, especially on a Monday night when you're already exhausted. And burgers are okay to eat in moderation. But when you go to T.G.I. Friday's (see title link), it's important to understand your own body and when it's full. That doesn't mean eat till the burger's gone. Eat slowly, since your stomach takes 20 minutes to tell you it's full.

Herbal Essences
Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In Split End Protector is a great formula that keeps your hair stronger for longer periods of time. Its formula contains red raspberry and satin, making your hair smell good and feel silky. Plus, it's cheap; just $3.99 per bottle (see title link) for that sleek, straight look.
Brows
A budget-friendly product that really defines your brows, an area I never thought of using makeup for. Eyeliner is pretty widespread, but do people really use makeup on their EYEBROWS? Apparently so, and I find that Maybelline New York Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil works best at the best price of $6 (see title link). The pencil doesn't allow for smearing, and the back of it acts as a comb to coiff those brows. It's waterproof, too. Make sure that you choose the right shade, though. It doesn't blend well otherwise.
Basics Are Often Best
My lips get ridiculously chapped during the winter. Even in mid-March, they are cracked and feel horrible. Put it this way: I had a pretty painful Friday the 13th. Anyway, the solution that's been working best for me for years doesn't have an elaborate name or expensive price tag. I just use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, which keeps them sufficiently moisturized. And it's just $2 at Walgreens where I buy it. I suppose drugstore.com is just overpriced (see title link). Stick to the basics, especially in makeup; they often provide you with the easiest solutions.

Shoes
These shoes look fit for a celebrity. But they're at an extremely affordable price, especially if you're shopping for a dressy occasion. These $24 Forever 21 heels (see title link) will match any dress (black is the best!) and totally innovative. Very comfortable to wear because of the extra ankle support. They're made of rubber suede so don't expect them to tough out ridiculous conditions. But peeptoes are in for spring so wear them at all the formals you want. A tall 4.25" heel is the only drawback, making it slightly uncomfortable for people not used to heels.
Aero Hoodie
A cute hoodie perfect for a day at the mall or traveling...I used it Tuesday night when I took a red-eye flight home. It's available at Aeropostale (see title link) and is short enough to not smother your bottom half. It fits well around my torso as well, with a 25" length. Cotton/Polyester mix. The Sunshine color reminds me of spring (when, oh when will it arrive?) and the metallic thread accents on the logo makes the white pop, too. The best part is that the $45 zip-front hoodie is on sale right now for just $19.95. Scoop it up while you can! It's called the Newport Beach Hoodie

Fox[y]
This bag from Fox is really cute. It's a hot red shade that's a bit lighter than fire-engine so it doesn't shock anyone. It's a relative splurge at $44...any takers (see title link)?

A.V. Max
This bangle is perfect for prom or a formal event. It's a neutral silver color from A.V. Max and it's a costly $65, but hey, if the occasion calls for it...
Glamorous but still relatively inexpensive, when you imagine what the diamond version of this would cost...I love faking it, don't you? It's a mesh fabric and has a 1" width. Not too heavy or thick but still fairly noticeable (see title link).
Converse at Journeys
No, I'm not talking about mingling with customers at the shoe store. The Converse brand of shoes has dozens of hot styles in every possible pattern imaginable. The model above is my favorite, although I like the pink-on-white variety better. Find a shoe to match any outfit (see title link). $55 at Journeys.

Cheap Accessories
Great bracelet on this website from AMI Clubwear (see title link). Just $9, and it has this fake-gold metal charm. Knotted bangles look extremely sophisticated with a brightly-colored outfit. They feel bulky at first, but remember, you can totally pull them off!

Speechless!
Speechless' Shirred Front Halter Party Dress is an awesome color and affordable for a prom dress, at $69.99 (see title link). It's never too early to start thinking about prom! Makes your torso look lean and long and also has an extra layer of tulle. The Y-collar is a chic look as well. Pay a visit to JCPenney...It'll be worth your time.

New Maybelline Product is a "Dream" Come True
Maybelline New York recently released its new foundation on the market, called Dream Liquid Mousse. I spotted it at CVS and had to try it. It blends really well so the redness fades really quickly as well, and it doesn't weigh your face down like other products, even the more expensive ones. Its natural shine is an improvement over the caked look, and its oil-free, fragrance-free, and dermatologically and allergy tested (see title link). It guarantees to not clog pores, unlike other makeup with harmful ingredients. The important thing to remember when applying is to shake the bottle well before using. I learned that lesson the hard way! Comes in 12 shades.
