Samy Dry Icing Instant Re-Styler can be used to tame your flyaways. I have ridiculously curly hair and definitely need some creamy pomade to make it better. We all know using flat irons is bad for your hair. But if you're going to do it anyway, use one that's powerful enough to do it in a single pass! A female IndyCar driver?

Shannon McIntosh, 22, is a female racecar driver (see title link). How cool is that? She's the only American woman to ever race in the IndyCar USF2000 series, and plans to race at the Indy 500 by 2014! Now there's a girl with dreams who's really accomplishing them. And only a girl can make a racecar suit (she's sponsored by Glass Hammer Racing) look hot! What a fighter!

M. Haskell jewelry can be pricey at times, to say the least - but some bangles are just worth the splurge, or at least the style inspiration. The beaded bangle style looks good on EVERYONE, seriously (see title link)! So feel free to go ahead and be bold.

Heather Morris Channels Britney

I don't necessarily advocate Heather Morris' specific outfit in this episode of Glee (although let's be real, those boy shorts look amazing on her), but she pulled off a Britney Spears VMA Slave 4 U look so well because of her killer confidence! Now THAT's something to admire (see title link).

The Secret's out for Body Splashes

Secret Scent Expressions makes great antiperspirants and deodorants, but their scented body splashes make you feel ultra-nice. The So Very Summer Berry is my personal favorite and keeps me fresh all day. Buy it for just $4 (see title link).

Nike's comfy sports bras

When I work out, I like to wear a sports bra to give me some extra support. Some women can rock just those without shirts, but I'm definitely not jacked enough to do that. So I need a bra that feels good, rather than just looking good. Nike's bras are great for that, and provide a great top to your workout clothing (see title link).

Landon Liboiron's suprisingly unisex style

I found this on the Men's Section of Obey Clothing's website, but the Belmont Knit Top is honestly a great part of their Tops collection that is perfect for women as well. Slightly pricey at $43, but it's lightweight and looked awesome on Terra Nova's Landon Liboiron in a magazine, who claims in an interview that "love is like a bee" because it can "sting when it hurts" but also be the most beautiful thing in the world (see title link).

Easy, Chill fashion

Okay, not to take fashion inspiration directly from a guy, but Josh Hutcherson truly defines the look-hot-in-anything department. He's just wearing a striped shirt and looks incredible, shown here at last year's Sundance Film Festival! See him in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (also starring Vanessa Hudgens) on February 10 (see title link), but seriously, take some style advice and realize that you can look good in chill clothing if you rock that confidence.

Taylor Lautner

Read this interview with Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner. He may just be 19, but the guy has some really sensitive, adorable qualities. Although he refuses to mention the last time he cried, he does freely admit that he's open about his emotions and that it's something he's gotten more comfortable with as he's gotten older (see title link). AWW!

Braids can be beautiful

Crystal Reed of Teen Wolf fame definitely got her look right at this year's MTV Movie Awards. The side braid looks gorgeous on her, as does the Ina Soltani dress she's wearing from the Fall 2011 collection (see title link).

Prep for Halloween, beginning with your makeup!

October is a great month to go a little bit more wacky with your makeup. If you're going for a pretty look on Halloween, try Stila Eye Shadow Trio in Going Green. What a gorgeous dress Kate Bosworth wore at last year's premiere of Life Happens at the Los Angeles Film Festival. The simple, yet elegant Ruffle Hem dress from Richard Nicoll is part of his Resort 2012 collection (see title link). She has pretty well-moisturized skin, but the real glow comes from knowing which colors look on her. This dress definitely does the trick, even with that oily face.

At the Noon by Noor launch party (see title link) in West Hollywood this summer, Demi showed up wearing a gorgeous dress and adding on this oversized, asymmetrical, sheer cardigan or shirt. The dress speaks for itself, and the cardigan looks like something you would wear to the library. Wear them separately, for different occasions!

You know what makes the most truly beautiful look celebs be the way they are? The fact that they look gorgeous in basics. Find your own style soul mate and grab some inspiration. A plain top can go a long way when it's carefully selected, and it doesn't have to cost you, either. This Dotted Swiss Woven top, from Forever 21, costs just $18 and can be dressy! The split round neck and four buttons give it that unique oomph factor without trying too hard. Cap sleeves look nice and girly, and the smocked waist slims you up (see title link)!

American Rag Bomber (Jacket)

I'm really into the bomber trend lately, although the jackets look awful on my frame. The Faux Leather Bomber Jacket from American Rag is on sale now for $51 (down from $69) at Macy's, so come get it while it's cheap. I used it casually, but the model pairs it with a dress and looks great! There is a zipper closure for warmth, as well as 2 zipper pockets at the waist (see title link). Love it in black!

Those perfect weekend shopping bags...

I got a fair bit of fall shopping done this past long weekend, and I realized it's just as important to look good while you're buying new stuff as it is to actually wear all your purchases later. A beaded bag, for example, is a great accessory to any shopping trip, day on the town, or even party when you're trying to keep your belongings close. It blings you up a little and is effortlessly sophisticated. I noticed this $100 bag from Mango (see title link). The Leather Messenger Handbag has a gold woven design prominently on the flap, a magnetic button for practicality in closure, and a cut shoulder strap that's classy and slim.

Love Forbidden Euphoria by Calvin Klein. Priced moderately high at $45 for 1 oz., the new fragrance is fresh with a cool modern twist that's so alluring. The exotic fruits, florals, and musks really complete the package (see title link).

Moto Jacket

I seriously wish I could pull off this trend. Leather moto jackets are one of my favorite aspects of fall fashion. Unfortunately, collars just don't suit me, so this look is out. But I want those of you who look flattering in these jackets to WEAR them! Update the look and feel less edgy by buying one in a warm brown, rather than the hard black. This (Minus the) Leather Quilted Moto Jacket is on sale now for $68.60 (see title link) at Express, and looks great pictured at left in the Cognac shade. It's asymmetrical to add to the fashion statement, and can be dressed up on a dress or dressed down with jeans. Sigh.

Although bold party looks are great, I think everyday makeup should be kept natural, while still helping you feel put-together. I didn't realize the Jessica Simpson Collection carried such high-end jewelry, but this Geometric Turquoise Bracelet is a cool part of their Jewelry & Accessories line. Like a charm bracelet, it has gemstones and turquoise stones to give it a unique feel, and the copper worn metal adds a simple touch. Problem is, it costs $150 (see title link).

Pretty Amazing Real Girls

Seventeen magazine did a pretty revolutionary thing for a teen periodical - it featured a normal reader as its cover girl for the first time this month! They chose 5 girls from thousands of applicants who do good, and flew them to NYC for a week before choosing the final girl. They even had a tearful goodbye at the end of the week, despite the fact that it was a competition. That shows the tremendous character of all of them (see title link).

New fashion for fall

My best fashion trick? I never buy a whole new wardrobe every fall. Just a few basic pieces to update it. They don't even need to be cutting-edge style - just the thought of having something new gives you that little extra boost of confidence, which is what really makes you beautiful. So just warm up your style, as the weather cools down (see title link).
