Black Jeans for Curvy Bodies

Yes, I realize the jeans shown here aren't black. But these It (iT? !iT) Ultra Skinny Jeans really do fit well and look great in black. They make any body look super shapely, and definitely testifies to the fact that black is slimming. I've found these for $68, but they're selling for $78 online (see title link). They're very L.A.-inspired.

Jessica Simpson fall-wear

It may be a bit early to talk about fall fashions, but the Jessica Simpson collection is ready for new arrivals. I love shopping for laid-back, comfy sweaters or thermals, and I found just that with the Chainmaille Yarn Cardigan, on sale now for $34.99 (see title link). It's thin enough for you to be able to wear it on some chilly August nights and has cable knit detail on the sleeves and hem. The color shown is Bright White Cotton Nylon blend, but depending on what you wear underneath you can give it a chill vibe with some gray.

Jeans to show off your butt

Betsey Johnson unveiled a new, more popularly-priced line this year called Pink Patch, with pieces retailing for less than $100. I particularly like their jeans, which, although pricey, definitely accentuate most derrieres without seeming trashy. The juniors jeans cost around $98 but look absolutely fabulous. Converse future!

The Converse All Star Slim Slip for Women in Black Mono is very multi-purposeful. Just $55 (see title link). A friend of mine even wore them to her wedding!

I finally discovered some treasures on Modcloth! This top from Line & Dot costs $58 and is a blouse called the Dot Com Darling Top (see title link). Beware: it's semi-sheer, but it comes with an adorable curved hem and back V-Neck, along with chest pockets. It is a button-down.

Great Lash

Maybelline New York's Great Lash Washable Mascara is turning 40! It's fabulous in Blackest Black. Conditions without clumping and doubles lashes, and swears to be contact-lens safe. Hypoallergenic, too (see title link)!
