Hairspray to brighten your color

I found this Pureology Colour Stylist Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hairspray in a local salon (see title link). Although it costs $24, it gives my hair tons of shine and contains a vegetable protein to repair damage, so I know my hair is getting the best treatment possible. It's fast-drying, too! The chamomile and olive oil smell wonderful, and the orange oil gives it a smoothness.

Bikini bottom

Not quite beach season yet, but there's no harm in starting to look! Check out these bikini bottoms from the Smoothies by Gossip collection. They cost just $20 (see title link) and are flattering on any figure with their cute tiered ruffles (see title link).

Spring Sandals

I found a cute AND comfy pair of sandals from Sperry Top-Sider today for $60 (see title link). The Women's Marigot has an adorable pink and navy plaid style that's perfect for summer, and looks great casual. You'll feel comfortable walking for long durations as well.

Accessorize your weekend

I'm unsure how I feel about these Stoney Clover Lane bracelets. Shown here is the Lexi Set, $100 for the set of five bracelets (see title link). Worn by celebrities, this brand is great for everyday use. On the one hand, it's nice to get some certified celebrity bling that you can actually wear, rather than buying something outrageous that makes you look ridiculous. But on the other hand, why waste one hundred dollars on five solid-colored gold charm bracelets? Sure, they're unique, but I can definitely live without them.

Spring Break fashion

Secret, of Secret deodorant, has a great, inspiring mission that I wanted to share. It's a cool positivity campaign where you can write compliments about people anonymously on their Facebook page. Basically, being nice behind someone's back is only more good in this world (see title link)! Cool secret, huh?

Trenchcoats are a cute new trend, and I LOVE this one seen on Cassie Scerbo in Make It or Break It. It's simple but so sexy (see title link)! Great for showing off your figure but still keeping the assets under wraps!

Help with coming out

I have quite a few friends who have struggled to come out about their sexuality. But I read about one girl who took little steps to do it instead of having to feel like it was an on/off switch. She said it out loud to herself, then told her dad, then told her parents. She still hasn't told her friends, because she wants to wait until she's ready to deal with the repercussions (see title link).

I don't tend to break out often, but when I do, I use a spot treatment to get rid of the pimples. Video!

Technology never fails to amaze me. Sony came out with a new Bloggie Touch, a video camera priced at just $200 (see title link). It records up to 4 hours of footage at a time, fits in your pocket, and uploads to your computer with a built-in USB cable. 12.8 megapixel stills, and a great touch screen! It's also compatible with iMovie. Love the silver, but it comes in other colors as well.

On another prom rant...

I'm in love with one-shouldered dresses and still haven't found the perfect one for myself. But if you're looking for prom dresses and want to stay on trend, this Jessica McClintock One-Shoulder Dress is definitely the way to go! Available at Dillard's for $169 (see title link), the gown is made of gold stretch satin and slims your waist with the ruched bodice. The decorative rosette and empire waist are so elegant! Not too crazy about the flared skirt, but that is flattering on some people! So be a goddess this prom!

I'm bummed there aren't any Dillard's stores near me. When I was shopping for prom, I would've loved their collections! Here's a Printed Dress from Masquerade. Sperry Top Sider shoes are supremely comfortable. I found a pair of Women's Montauk Slip-On shoes in the Tan Woven variety I feel in love with, but they're not even available until the first week of April! They cost a steep $125, so chances are I won't be getting them (see title link). But check them out!

Although I loved playing basketball as a child, I do remember wishing I had learned to play soccer. iPad!

I was astonished to see that Seventeen magazine has an iPad app. I love that it's keeping up with trends, especially the direction print journalism is heading. But how many teenage girls really have an iPad? I certainly don't. The app contains access to celebrity videos, forums, and instant access to purchase all the fashions the magazine features. Pretty cool (see title link)!

B. Darlin has a great collection of prom dresses at Macy's. Although I'm too old for prom, the dresses work well for other occasions as well! The satin dress with jeweled detail costs $129 and is perfect for any college formal (see title link).
