Virtual Dating Abuse

With texting as the new, easy way to communicate, relationship dynamics are changing among teens. If you're in an unstable relationship with someone and break up with them, they can continue harassing you with those SMS's. Kari Ann Gorman was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend in the summer of 2008, before her boyfriend shot himself as well. If you or a friend is in a controlling relationship, you CAN find help (see title link) online or by calling (866) 331-9474, a 24/7 hotline. When texts turn deadly, it's important to find help fast.

Cyber hazing

With new social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace gaining popularity, invisible attacking is increasing as well. You know, those crazy, mean messages that you get from enemies, ex-boyfriends, the like. We CAN help stop it (see title link) so do your part!

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Did you know one of the greatest ways to be a good kisser is to stop planning the moment in advance? Instead, just go with the flow and your natural moves will be the most romantic of all (see title link).

You can never have enough...

Shoes, of course! I found a hot pair from AMI Clubwear for just $19 (see title link). For that deal, you can wear them just a few times and still get great use out of your investment!

Bold earrings

Tuleste Market is a high-end brand that sells these amazing $95 Hexagon with Chainmail Stud Earrings (see title link)! Available at Alice + Olivia stores, this rose-gold pair offers an edgy twist to the classic stud, and can command the outfit or supplement a large necklace.

Gotta love the UK

Topshop is a chain of upscale London stores based internationally in New York City. I found a pair of shoes there for $135 that are just to die for. Fuschia open-toed heels with 5 adjustable buckles going up the foot. Perfect for a Friday night out (see title link)!

Deborah Lippmann

Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Happy Birthday is an expensive but worthwhile addition to your nail polish shelf. The silver glitter polish is perfect for layering with the multicolor sparkles on top of a solid, glam shade. For $18 (see title link), you get a party in a bottle!

Shimmery Skin

Winter is the perfect time to borrow from the season when rethinking your makeup. Go for that snowy effect and channel moonlight to give yourself a gleam that is just reminiscent of ice. You'll radiate cool in the best, most sparkly way!

Take fashion, for instance. This Embroidered Chiffon Leopard Dress, which is also great to use as a top, as I've seen it, is a designer Adam piece that's on sale for $169 (see title link). Total statement piece that won't overstate your look. The metal leopard sequins are hand-embroidered, and the airy material will keep you (you guessed it) cool! Not to mention what it'll do for your curves and how soft it'll feel against your skin. Beware the chunky exposed zipper in the back, but the embroidered gussets make up for it, I suppose.

Shine!

MAC Glitter works really well on your lips. I know, glitter on lips sounds like a bad combination, bad taste, the whole nine yards. But trust me, it gives you such an amazing dazzle if you don't overdo it. Use a lip brush and shake out the loose shimmer before pressing it onto your lips. Start in your inner corners so your lip centers don't look too sparkly. The Fuschia shade is perfect for $20 (see title link).

Seventeen

"Go on--get GLAM!" That's the catchphrase of this month's issue of Seventeen magazine. It's filled with tons of tips for fashion, confidence, and love (see title link).

Mission

Want to help stop the spread of AIDS? Help Shailene Woodley in her mission through Do Something, a Volunteer website which helps teens find local opportunities to help (see title link). You can visit their Celebs Gone Good blog to see what your favorite celebrities are up to.

College days

College isn't all about partying, but there's certainly some perks there. Being a freshman, though? Not so much (see title link). You can read blogs, see videos, but won't really get a sense of it until you're actually there. If you go clubbing, know that you WILL be stuck in line for hours. The VIP list is only available through some tight connections, so next weekend may not be better. But through it all, it will be a BLAST.

PacSun

I absolutely love the PacSun store. Tons of casual, chill clothes that are reasonably priced. This holiday season, they have tons of great deals (see title link). So pass it on and get shopping!

..."Give me some merry!"

Jerks

Did you know there are some guys who actually hit on girls to get to their best friends? Apparently, you're hot but your friend is hotter (see title link). Are YOU about to get dumped?

FOOD!? Yes.

I just LOVE Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries. They're a healthy way to satisfy my chocolate craving. Did you know you can make your own by melting butter and bittersweet (less sugar than regular) chocolate chips in the microwave, dipping strawberries in them, and then rolling them in graham cracker crumbs for an added touch? An easy recipe that tastes oh-so-good! Provided by chef Jennifer Iserloh (see title link).

Nike

Nike Zoom Trainer Essential II Women's Shoe in Black/Black--Metallic Silver--New Magenta is a great workout shoe. Plenty of support and cushioning for your feet, and lightweight upper with adjustable midfoot support strap, intended for better stability. There's also a Nike zoom unit at heel for cushioning, and a non-marking rubber outsole for traction (see title link). Retailing at $78.

To infinity...and beyond!

These are a bit expensive, but try Always Infinity Regular pads for great coverage. They're $9.99 for 36, but they are made with Infinicel, an absorbent material which is super-thin and can hold 10x its weight. Wings ensure less mess, and microdots channel fluid deep into the pad so you don't feel weird. The form-fitting channels and soft cover sheet helps you be discrete, comfortable, and protect against leaks. They are even designed to be wider in the back.

Forever 21

Want party hair for less? Just add a cute headband! This Forever 21 Feather Headband that I found has bright pink feathers to get that party started. Just $7, it keeps your hair out of your face and can spice up any bad hair day (believe me, I've had my share of them). I never thought feathers would be in, but there ya go (see title link)!

Multi-functional makeup!?

E.l.f. All Over Color Stick is an amazing resource that you can wear to have amazing eyes, lips, or face! It gives you a healthy glow, and is simultaneously soothing and conditioning your skin during wear. You'll look fresh all day, especially in the corners of your eyes with that little sparkle. For just $1, what's NOT to love (see title link). The Toasted color is the best, smelling like sugar orange!

Relaxed glam

Alicia Keys always has amazing hair, but this look for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is quick and simple. Just use a flat iron or hot comb to get her sleekness and back-comb the top half to really achieve her amazing volume. After securing, you're ready for the red carpet (see title link)! Relaxed hair never looked so simply sophisticated.

John Frieda knows best

Prayer in a bottle? That's exactly what John Frieda Luxurious Volume Always Stylish Gel-Creme seems like. For just $5.49 (on sale from $7 now!), you get an instantly liquefying product which gives you both control and touchable-ness! It reportedly focuses on individual strands to really get that lift, building fullness at the roots and thickening your follicles. You'll have amazing body and volume (see title link). Use it to give your hair some grip so your style doesn't loosen or slide out. Just a dollop is needed when your hair is damp. Blow-drying afterwards will give it that extra texture that makes it truly gorgeous!

'Cause hair's a party

Pantene Pro-V Full & Thick Extra Fullness Gel is an easy, $4 way of keeping your hair in a certain style. Try braiding 1-inch sections of you hair down the lengths, secure with an elastic, and then tuck them behind your ears before securely pinning them. You'll look so unique and glamorous that the party will just come to you (see title link). The Maximum Hold keeps your hair in place, and the Pro-Vitamin formula is healthy, too. No stickiness is guaranteed, and it promises to withstand the highest humidity, while adding some extra fullness and shine to make your locks look just lovely.

Edgy is in

Here's another amazing staple for your wardrobe: a KRMA Jade Leather Jacket. Motorcycle jackets are the raging new thing and are here to stay. Here's Nina Dobrev modeling the look at the Cinema Society's Screening of 500 Days of Summer. Retailing at $650, the soft coat will get you noticed with the gathered detail at the sleeves and back yoke. The front zipper is convenient, and there are snaps at the stand collar and hem for extra security. Just remember that they're 3/4 sleeves so they're not designed for the dead of winter. But hey, 100% leather is 100% leather, right (see title link)?

GaGa for this dress

This dress from Bernard Chandran is to die for. Lady Gaga even wore this piece from the Malaysian designer's Spring/Summer 2009 collection for last year's Brit Awards in London. The flashy pink color is absolutely radiant and the cut is as unique as it gets, managing to give plenty of waist space without taking away from the curves. It's couture, but I'll give it a thumbs up! If you can buy it, shell out the cash (see title link)!

Streets Ahead

Streets Ahead makes amazing designer belts. I found this bright red high-waisted belt that's wide-width and has a flower buckle. Very Taylor Swift-esque with a designer label attached (see title link). They're expensive, but totally unique.

(Bur)berry is in for fall

Gotta love some designer wonderfulness. I LOVE this Burberry dress from the Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection. Emma Watson modeled the look at the runway show in September, and that gold version is absolutely fabulous. You can't buy online so I don't know the price, but you can visit stores and check it out for yourself (see title link).
