Everyone has had a traumarama...one girl shared her story: at her boyfriend's house, she tried to recreate the Twilight scene between Edward and Bella and in the tree and fell down, landing on her arm and having to be taken to the hospital for X-Rays. THAT's embarrassing (see title link).

Guns

Did you know that a serious issue in the United States is female gun control? We always percieve guys with violence and shooting, but now girls are following the trend. Some believe that it makes them feel powerful and strong; in fact, 45% of Seventeen magazine readers who took a poll (see title link) had shot a gun before. Scary, huh?

Even your texts say a lot about you, unfortunately. Instead of the old-fashioned phone calls and actually listening to a voice, we interpret people's thoughts through text messages. So make sure to pay attention to your wording next time you're flirtexting your crush (or your not-crush)!

Can you believe that even Kim Kardashian has had confidence issues? Her curvier chest forced her to pray to God nightly for them to "stop growing" and she would even wear two sports bras to flatten them! But her sham disappeared when she realized that being comfortable in her own skin was all that mattered, whatever you size, and just because you're you. Obviously, Kim rocks her curves today. Another foray into Twilight madness...Robert Pattinson's dry sense of humor has been broadcast for the world to see these days, from sarcastically telling a fan to take her clothes off (which she did, before being escorted out by security) to confessing he was involved in a drug bust to make a statement for all the tabloid rumors and their ridiculousness. New Moon

I'm jumping on the New Moon bandwagon...never saw the first movie or read the trilogy, but for the sake of blog publicity, I'm putting it out here. There's tons of behind-the-scenes details to find online if you're an obsessed one...I'm told there are even some Taylor Lautner posters floating around...hmm (see title link)!

Style Mix Tour

Want to take a trip to Annapolis, Maryland? The Westfield Annapolis was a great stop for the Seventeen Style Mix Tour, which hunts for girls to "get discovered" as models, features performances by Nina Sky, provides Garnier Fructis makeovers, a Jenni lounge, a Miss Dior Cherie fragrance bar, and tons of free stuff, among other things (see title link). It was on Saturday, October 17 from 2-4 PM...don't miss the next one!

Obsess?

Did you know that guys totally obsess over you when they have a crush on you? They just don't show it...Aaron, a 16-year-old from Harrisburg, North Carolina told Seventeen magazine that his "stomach is in knots" and "his brain turns to jelly"...he even checks her Facebook profile every few days just to make sure "she's still single"! He also hopes "every day she'll acknowledge" that he even exists (see title link). Cute? Pitiful? Creepy? You decide. Leave a comment with your thoughts!

Depression no-nos

The one thing I do when I feel sad or depressed is overeat. Ice cream sundaes, Oreos, all the stuff that's horrible for me. And while you may think those kinds of foods will drown your sorrows, they actually make you feel bloated and maybe even WORSE. Instead, do the opposite and burn calories by exercising...go for a jog or just work out your own way. You'll release tons of endorphins and actually feel better, even if it is just for a little while (see title link).

Hips Don't Lie?

If there's one person to admire in Hollywood because of her toned body, it's Shakira. That woman has natural beauty and her curves aren't made by a computer (at least in some pictures, where she STILL looks fabulous!). But to achieve that fitness level, you need to work out. So get some tips from Shakira's trainer, Tracy Anderson (see title link), and you can climb your way to the top.

Secret Weapons by Annette

A pricey bra from Secret Weapons by Annette (see title link). I found it for $42 on sale, but the price online is now at $60. This seamless wire bra with removable cups has a great wide band at the bottom that gives you extra support without all that underwire that binds tight. It's invisible, too (the wire, I mean). The smooth one-piece Santoni construction and lightly-lined cups, along with the stretchy straps make it tailored just for you. What more could you want?
